At International Gymnastics Camp our programs are built for campers who are ALL levels of gymnasts! We have campers who have never done gymnastics before, right through to elite and national team members. At IGC our campers are 7 – 17 years and we have world-class gymnastics programs for both boys and girls every week of the summer camp season! Check out our weekly availability

Our programs across the board are built on the foundation of enriching every camper’s love for gymnastics, developing social skills, making life-long friendships, enhancing teamwork skills, gaining independence, and making camp magic memories that last a lifetime.

International Gymnastics Camp has put together our list of 4 good things to know about gymnastics training at IGC and what skills you’ll work on at gymnastics camp:

4 Things to Know About IGC Training & Skills

1. Who will be in my gym training group at camp?

This is a great question and has a super straightforward answer! At IGC we do a verbal screening on Sunday just after check-in to determine what your skill level is. We place gymnasts with compatible skill levels in the same group with the camper’s general height and age also being considered. Gymnastics training at IGC is meant to be fun, so if your camper ever feels they are in the wrong group we’d encourage them to communicate this with their coaches or counselors

2. What should my goals be for my week at camp?

At IGC we set realistic goals at the beginning of the week and evaluate the accomplished goals on Friday. Our gymnastics coaches tailor each lesson with the camper’s goals in mind, enabling the goals to be achieved throughout the week. Your camper’s goals should be an extension of what they are working on at their home gym. A great goal for example could be wanting to improve their hurdle technique on vault… an unrealistic goal could be wanting to go from level 5 skills to level 9 skills over one week at camp. But that’s not to say our coaches won’t be able to set up drills to work towards those awesome skills!

3. How do coaches teach at IGC?

IGC’s focus in teaching is on technique and proper progressions – reinforcing and building on what each gymnast is working on at home.  IGC is the only place in the world with five separate gymnastics gyms – all dedicated to artistic gymnastics. Each gym is fully equipped with a wide variety of stations to suit the developmental needs of all levels, from true beginner gymnasts to elite. We believe that children should be taught gymnastics in a positive learning environment. Our campers are always challenged but never pushed beyond their limits or endurance. Gymnastics is our passion, and we love being able to share this in a kind and safe environment.

4. Do I need to come with my team?

At IGC we have many many campers come by themselves and we have campers come with a gymnastics team. Whether you’re a first-time camper coming to IGC by yourself or it’s your fifth year and you’re reuniting with your camp besties, you’re bound to make new friends that week. The camp magic memories campers make each season with the friends they make at camp are treasured for a lifetime! More than 150, 000 campers and staff from over 60 countries have called IGC their summer home away from home and we love welcoming new campers to the IGC family each year! The IGC experience is one not to be missed!
