What to Expect at Gymnastics Camp

International Gymnastics Camp is committed to providing a kind, healthy & safe environment for all our campers in all aspects of camp life. IGC programs across the board are built on the foundation of enriching every camper’s love for gymnastics, developing social skills, making lifelong friendships, enhancing teamwork skills, gaining independence and making camp magic memories that last a lifetime.

1. Expect a lot of FUN! 

All our IGC programs are built on the foundation of kindness, safety and of course, camp magic FUN! Summer camp is supposed to be fun and exciting and it gives camper ‘ you time’. At IGC will definitely be just that! 

2. Expect to make friends!

Camp friends are simply the best. At IGC whether you come by yourself or with your team, you’ll surely make some awesome friends. Our cabin environment philosophy is built around our Kount on Kindness initiative which includes being inclusive and kind to everyone. Our get to know you games at the beginning of the week will have you knowing your cabin mates in no time! And your gym groups are different to your cabin mates, allowing for even more opportunity to make camp friends! 

3. Expect to learn a lot! 

From gaining independence to learning how to work as a team, you’ll learn plenty at summer camp! In the gyms you’ll have the opportunity to enhance your understanding of the skills you’re working on and in recreation you’ll be able to learn to work together as a team to gain those all important cabin points… and maybe even win cabin of the week! 

4. Expect challenges

Whether it is your first summer at camp or your seventh summer at gymnastics camp, everyone goes through some challenges. Maybe challenges in the gym, challenges being away from home for the first time, challenges missing your home comforts or even the set cabin challenges where you gain cabin points… but those are pretty fun! No matter the challenges you might face at summer camp, our IGC counselors and coaches are there 24/7 to ensure you have the best summer camp experience!

5. Expect camp to feel like your home away from home! 

For three generations, IGC has become a home away from home for more than 150,000 campers and staff from over 60 countries across the globe! Even if you only do one summer or maybe even ten summers, each and everyone who steps through our gates at IGC for the summer season becomes a part of our awesome IGC family!
