Gymnastics camp is the highlight of the summer for many kids who are passionate about gymnastics. But before they can enjoy their time honing their skills and making camp magic memories that will last a lifetime, they need to pack.

Let’s talk about some of the most important things you should pack for gymnastics camp to make sure you’re prepared for all the fun activities you’ll be participating in.

What to Pack For Gymnastics Camp

Packing for gymnastics camp is made easy when you break down what you need by category. Here’s a handy guide:

Athletic Gear

Since the emphasis of camp is to practice gymnastics, it’s important for campers to bring plenty of workout gear. This includes practice leotards, workout shorts, leggings, and/or t-shirts depending on what’s comfortable for you. We recommend packing 6 athletic outfits like these for your time at International Gymnastics Camp.

You should also pack two pairs of sweatpants and two sweatshirts. Campers may also want to bring tape, grips, tiger paws, or other braces they may use with their coach from home (though these are not required for camp).

Toiletries

Toiletries and accessories are other important things that you should pack for gymnastics camp. This includes the staples like a toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, and conditioner. You may want to bring a shower caddy or basket to help make carrying your shower supplies easier during your stay.

You will also want to pack any hair care products, deodorant, a hat, sunscreen, and insect repellant. If you have long hair, don’t forget hair bands or any other products you use to keep your hair up during practice.

Clothing

Of course, packing the right clothes for other camp activities is also extremely important. If you’re wondering what to wear on your first day of gymnastics camp, you can’t go wrong with a T-shirt and shorts.

For the entirety of your stay, you should also pack swimwear, sleepwear, socks, a pair of sneakers, a pair of flip slops, and a light jacket. Essentially, you want to ensure you’re packing clothes suitable for the activities you will be doing and for any weather conditions.

Bedding

Gymnastics camps often ask campers to pack their own linens and bedding for camp. This includes a pillow and pillowcase, sheets (or a sleeping bag), and towels. This also means you can pack your favorite pillow and blanket that can provide some extra comfort while you’re away from home.
