Do your camp weeks align with Massachusetts school calendars?

Yes. Our summer sessions are intentionally structured to align with the Massachusetts academic calendar. Since most public schools in Massachusetts conclude in mid to late June, our late June and early July sessions are ideally timed for families beginning their summer break. We also offer August sessions that finish before the typical pre–Labor Day start dates used by many Massachusetts districts, ensuring your gymnast can enjoy camp without missing school.

Does my gymnast need to be “Elite” to attend?

Not at all. We welcome gymnasts from Massachusetts at every level, from beginners in recreational classes to advanced competitive athletes. Campers are grouped by skill level, so each gymnast is challenged appropriately and safely.

Why do Massachusetts gymnasts choose a Pennsylvania overnight camp?

Massachusetts offers excellent local gymnastics programs, but International Gymnastics Camp provides a premier overnight camp experience that feels like a true summer retreat. Our Pocono Mountains location offers gymnasts a refreshing change of scenery with many acres of nature, a focused training environment, and a community of athletes from around the US and worldwide.

For many families, it strikes the ideal balance: far enough from home to feel immersive and distraction-free, yet close enough for a comfortable drive. Choosing International Gymnastics Camp means experiencing a true overnight gymnastics camp, something wonderfully different from the excellent local clinics and programs available in Massachusetts.

Will my gymnast be the only one from my area?

Not at all. Massachusetts is consistently one of our most represented states. Campers regularly meet peers from the North Shore, South Shore, Western Massachusetts, and the Cape. Many stay connected and see each other again at meets throughout the competitive season.

How do you handle homesickness for out-of-state campers?

We understand that for many Massachusetts gymnasts, this may be their first overnight experience outside their home state. Our staff is highly trained in helping campers adjust to the camp environment. With a full gymnastics schedule and engaging recreational activities, most campers settle in quickly and feel comfortable and confident on their first day.
